The 2016 Summer Olympics are set to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; however, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is reevaluating this decision. Thomas Bach, president of the IOC, stated that he was just alerted to the fact that Brazil is “hot” and “pretty muggy.” He was also told that they do not speak English, but rather “some other language.” Mr. Bach stated that “this is probably just a rumor, but I’ll have my sources look into it.” Mr. Bach went on to say, “why in the world would we want to go to some weird place that nobody knows about? I mean, come on guys, let’s use our heads here.” When asked about alternative locations to host the games, Mr. Bach said that “California,” “New York,” and “Washington D.C.” are all viable options. “I mean after all, the Olympic Games are an American tradition.”
